During several years, in Turkmenistan, it is carried out the investigations of territory on presence of infectious diseases of horses and clinical inspections of animals. Within the framework of this work, the meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water economy of Turkmenistan, the International Equestrian Sport Federation represented by Tim Hedevey, as well as Equestrian Sport Federation of Republic of Kazakhstan in the person of vice-president Sergey Buykevich took place in Ashgabat. At the meeting, it was discussed the application of Turkmenistan for recognition of territory of the country safe concerning one of diseases of horses - the African plague.
 


Within the framework of the meeting, it was carried on the negotiations about joint work on definition of zones free from diseases of horses for organization of equestrian competitions of the Asian Games. The agreement on rendering of the technical assistance in estimation of activity of the State Veterinary Service of Turkmenistan in this direction became the meeting result. This work is important in a context of wider participation of Ahalteke racers grown up in Turkmenistan in equestrian competitions, fairs and races in abroad as well as for preservation and improvement of breed.
 


As the head of epizootic department of the State Veterinary Service of Turkmenistan Mohammed Shalarov notes, Turkmenistan is a member International Epizootic Bureau and in the country it is carried out corresponding actions within the framework of established IEB standards. For organization of the equestrian competitions of Asian Games-2017, it is constructed the quarantine centre, meeting the international standards with a buffer zone in 15 km. The breeding records of livestock of Ahalteke racers are continued in the country as well as issues connected with their health are solved.
 



Presently, it is also held the training of zootechnicians and veterinary surgeons, who jointly with the international specialists will render medical assistance, to participate in doping control of horses as well as to promote in registration of corresponding documentation.
